I'm an amateur photographer so it was easy for me to understand the values of each concept. For the Elements, I used a lot of pictures of people. I think my photos put some depth into each element and created a dramatic look to each photo.I demonstrated the principles in each photo with several black and white photos or more mellow toned photos. By doing it that way, it gives the picture a more defined look and you are really able to see each principle.

1. Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting. By seeing certain colors our brains get a vibe. By seeing a bright color like yellow, our minds think of things that give out goo vibes, like the sun, sunflowers, etc.
2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why? Harmony. It fascinates me that colors can go along with each other in a sweet harmony, just like music can with different notes.
3. In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions? How June Redfern interpreted colors. When she visited Venice she rented to the colors as if she was her own painting.
4. In the Feelings video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions? The part that had the biggest impact was when they showed the painting Fransisco Goyas created. They way he used these deep dark colors shows how he saw the world as a darkened universe.
I did feel the dramatic effect in most of the photos, I also like how you went the extra mile for us to see the elements and principles in a new and more detail way.
ReplyDeleteI can tell from your photos that you definitely have experience and a great understanding in the field of photography. You used people in your photos to create drama and communicate the elements of photography to the viewer. I especially like your photo for "Shapes", because you have a human form against bold, rectangular shapes. The contrast between a organic human shape and man made structures really created a great composition.
