Hinduism Art:

This type of art gives insight through architecture and art of India. Hindu temple  architecture is a style that is driven by symmetry. The  certain designs that are put into this artwork have structure that influence geometric shapes. Architecture is an important part of the Hindu culture. There are large temples that show beauty in the way they were made. It is common when looking at Hindu art that figures will have extra parts like arms or legs. This is made to show off the extra power that god has.

African Art

In Sub- Saharan African villages traditions occurred that were strong and the art was important to their daily lives. African art places a huge emphasis on symbolism, aesthetics and the funtionality of the art. Their art includes; sculptures, masks, artitecture,ornaments, and also clothing. African art contains a type of expressive individualism. There's large amounts of influence on the art that seems to be based off the human body.  The videos relate to the text by giving examples.

Module 15 - Guernica

1- Taking my first glance at The Guernica, it was really hard to understand what was even happening. This oil painting is considered to be a moral with many different tortuous images created in it.  There's many elements and principals tat were brought to this piece such as; line, shape, form, value, and movement.  Looking at this picture my eyes dart from one place to another. there is no one thing that draws the attention. 2- The Guernica was made in 1937 by Picasso. This piece was created around the Civil War time period which makes sense because it seems as if the painting was a testimony of war. 3-  The painting was create in a time filled with war, death, and a lot of chaos. Picasso uses symbolism to express this time period. The painting is crazy, it's filled with shapes and forms which make the people and animals. Module 8

More Human than Human  I enjoyed this video and found it very interesting. This video shows how art from our past effects the world as we know it today. He seemed to really focus on art throughout many years. My favorite quote from this video was "We will see how us humans made art but also how art made us humans."  I also enjoyed when he started to converse about the way we view each other and how the brain effects the way we view ourselves.  He also said that the way we see art is not realistic, and mentioned that art we see of human bodies doesn't look the way we think it should/would.
