Self Portrait/ Art Gallery Visit This painting of a woman. I considered this to be somewhat of a self portrait due to the fact that it is just ahead shot of the side of her body. This is a self portrait painting of an old man. it is very bland and straight forward but I liked the look of it because of the way the colors connected This is my self portrait. I am not much of a drawer...I really had no clue what I was doing. I found it really interesting on how to draw my own face though. It looks nothing like me so obviously it didn't go as planned. I had fun messing around this it though. I thought the outcome was very amusing. 

My first expectation was to just learn more about art and the way things have been created and my expectations were definitely met. Art is freedom. Art gives people a chance to do whatever they want and create how ever they want with no rules. Beauty is freedom and each art piece we have discovered in this course taught me that.  Henri Cartier-Bresson. is still my favorite artist. Photography is always going to be my first love when coming to art.  I love taking online courses. It makes the college life a lot easier. 

1- Taking my first glance at The Guernica, it was really hard to understand what was even happening. This oil painting is considered to be a moral with many different tortuous images created in it.  There's many elements and principals tat were brought to this piece such as; line, shape, form, value, and movement.  Looking at this picture my eyes dart from one place to another. there is no one thing that draws the attention. 2- The Guernica was made in 1937 by Picasso. This piece was created around the Civil War time period which makes sense because it seems as if the painting was a testimony of war. 3-  The painting was create in a time filled with war, death, and a lot of chaos. Picasso uses symbolism to express this time period. The painting is crazy, it's filled with shapes and forms which make the people and animals. The Lockdown On Lowbrow: West Coast Pop Art This art is influenced by comic books,  surfing, classics cars and Cold War Imagery. The video explains the development of the unconventional artistic movements. West Coast pop art is associated with abstract expressionism and also carried along female artist to the forefront.  There was also the Lowbrow Lifestyle, which appealed to the masses. Pop Culture, Car culture, and fold art all had major influences on this genre of art.  This art was developed after World War 2.
