module 5- LOGOS

1. Discuss what you thought about creating your logos. It was hard. I don't work well with drawing. I hate it actually. Finding logos to represent myself was difficult. I really had to think about who I am and what I like 2. Describe the process: creative thinking skills and ideas you used in your logos. The processed I used was ong. I sat there staring at my ceiling for an hour trying to come up with something to draw. IT finally hit me and once I started on the first one, I got the hang of it. My first logo was a heart with a crown on the back. I did this because it forms part of an Irish ring I wear. I chose this because I'm extremely Irish. It's part of me. My second logo was my nickname with a pattern in each letter. I did this because well, it's my name. It's who I am. The pattern is because I think I'm very out going and bright. The third logo was drawings of waves. I did this because I love the water. I spend everyday in it. I don't know who I&

Module 5

A.) Which artworks make an impact or impression on me? Why? 1. An artwork that made an impression on me was an oil painting of a car on a highway on a rainy day. This painting was by A.J. Fries. It's called "Route 33" and it's from 2012.  This had an impression on me because of the color used. He only used dark colors. The way he made the ripples of water on the side and gave the painting texture  really made it stand out.  2. Another artwork that had an impression on me was another oil painting. This time it was of a flower. The painting is called "Blue Weed." It's from 2010 and it is by Joan Linder. I love flowers so this painting caught my eye immediately. It was something that is slightly abstract due to the color but very real looking.  B.) Which artworks do I feel a connection with? Why? 1. The first artwork that I felt connected with was Shirley Kassebaum's piece called "Invisible/Divisible" This artwork was from 1986.

These colors include blue, purple, and green. Photography Reflection

http://s86.photobucket.com/user/angelamccauley19/slideshow/?src=pb_unauth I'm an amateur photographer so it was easy for me to understand the values of each concept. For  the Elements, I used a lot of pictures of people. I think my photos put some depth into each element and created a dramatic look to each photo.I demonstrated the principles in each photo with several black and white photos or more mellow toned photos. By doing it that way, it gives the picture a more defined look and you are really able to see each principle. 1. Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting. By seeing certain colors our brains get a vibe. By seeing a bright color like yellow, our minds think of things that give out goo vibes, like the sun, sunflowers, etc.  2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why? Harmony. It fascinates me that colors can go along with each other in a sweet harmony, just lik
